A letter to Georgia from London

Dear Georgia,

I hope you are well. I'm looking forward to hearing about all your recent adventures. Well, today I'd like to write you about something important, something that really matters and in the end, it's the only thing that we really possess. Memories, memories of all these people we really love and care about.

All these past days we lived terrible moments of fear, disorientation and fanaticism. During all these past weeks I had a growing feeling to book a flight and come back to Athens. I was so homesick because I miss Athens, I miss my family, my cat, you and all my friends. Even though Greece was on the front page of all newspapers, I really wanted to go back to all those places where I lived so many precious moments, to relive all my memories.

Recently I read on ''Kafka on the shore" by Haruki Murakami that "Memories warm you up from the inside, but also tear you apart". I firmly believe that this quote is so true. So, I'd like to show you this beautiful park, to share with you these fresh memories of mine and in one way you could be a part of them as well.

So, Holland Park is a little cosy park in the middle of this busy city, a true paradise. There, you can see couples sitting side by side, holding hands and reading books, families having yummy picnics on the grass. You can enjoy a lovely stroll through a romantic garden with colourful roses and the peaceful Kyoto garden, which is a place dedicated to the Japanese culture.

Every single thing in this garden has its "memories", like these logs. They carry so many stories from the past, their stories.

Oh! Also, I'd like to show you this vase because it reminds me that all we need is indeed love and of course some flowers...

Lots of kisses and hugs!!!
